From Suzuki piano “twinkle parties” to church choirs and worship bands, a love for music and worship was nurtured early in Melodie’s heart. Living her earliest years in Olive Branch, MS, as a teenager she moved with her family to Franklin, TN where she participated in musical programs throughout middle school and high school.  Additionally she was a studio work vocalist for nearly a decade. In 2009, she graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor’s degree in music.

Melodie moved to Atlanta in the fall of 2009 to work for WinShape Camps for Girls. There she worked as a worship leader and event designer for five years, enjoying not only leading worship but creating fun, relevant worship experiences for campers that invited them to encounter the living God and make much of Him.

In 2010, Melodie became a part of Passion City Church where she serves on the worship team and choir leadership team.  She was on the worship team at Passion 2014 and Passion 2015 and toured with the Passion Band last fall.  She also enjoys teaching choir at rooted music coaching during the week.

God’s hand can clearly be seen in Melodie’s life as He continues to develop her passion for worship and desire to proclaim Jesus’ fame to the next generation. Her heart for worship is echoed in her enthusiasm for inspiring and encouraging others to be unquenchable, unsatisfied worshippers, learning to live lives of authentic worship that reflect the glory of God.
